DS Thumbnail Exercises

These were made using my Nintendo DS with an art program called "Colors." It allows you to concentrate on composition and value without getting bogged down in all the details too quickly. It is a simple and convenient way to paint on the go.
Using "Colors" is easily my favorite thing to do on my DS. I have always had Photoshop around but colors is so rudimentary that it has taught me painting techniques and processes. This paintings are pretty awesome.

I still have another 4 months to go. But I am pretty excited to move on and find a place to work.
I was wondering if you could take a look at a model I did after checking out some of your teams work.
I chose to do a skele from Andy Park's concepts and render him out. It is actually a combination between the 2 final concepts.

I had about 2 days to work on him. There is a Diffuse, spec, and normal.
Any critic would be helpful and I was also wondering what you guys look for for future artist. Most people say, gear your art for that company , so making art from their concepts is a the right way to go?
